Soul classic design is still recognizable, although it feels mexclado with more than a nod Trackster concept that was unveiled last year. Riding on a new chassis is stiffer, longer and wider, the all-new 2014 Soul has grown without losing its advantage, allowing more cargo and passengers and a significant reduction in NVH. The 2014 Kia Soul Base is powered by a gasoline direct injection (GDI) to 130 hp (at 6,300 rpm) 1.6-liter all-aluminum four-cylinder DOHC engine. The engine produces 118 pounds-feet of torque at 4,850 GAMMA rpm. Plus and Exclaim models enjoy a more powerful 2.0-liter Power nplanta NU. For 2014 Soul, the engine is updated with GDI technology.
